As the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, Dr Fatih Birol has moved the Agency to the forefront of global efforts to shape a more secure, affordable and sustainable energy future.

He has been included in the TIME100, TIME's annual list of the world's most influential people, and named by Forbes as one of the most influential people in the world of energy. He is the recipient of numerous high-level decorations from governments from all around the world.

Michelle Patron

Michelle Patron is General Manager of Sustainability Policy at Microsoft, leading regulatory and policy initiatives to advance the company’s energy and sustainability goals.

She previously served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Energy and Climate at the U.S. National Security Council, and has held roles at PIRA Energy Group, the U.S. Department of Energy, Deutsche Bank, the International Energy Agency, and the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and holds degrees from Columbia University and Johns Hopkins University.
